MGA – Autumn Mixed Game Championships – Sydney

We are kicking things off at the Sydney Autumn Mixed Game Champs in true mixed game style by completing mixing things up! Our first event for the festival will consist of T.H.O. & R.S.E. played as two separate day 1 flights with surviving players advancing to day 2 on Monday. Here’s how it will work:

Flight 1a – T.H.O.

The ‘blinds’ games consisting of Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, Holdem & Omaha Hi/Lo – 8 or better will be played first. With 13, 20 minute levels of play scheduled for each flight. Surviving players after 13 levels will ‘bag and tag’ their chips for day 2, or when directed by the Tournament Director.

The buy-in for this flight is $300, this tournament has a T20,000 start stack with re-entries and late entry available until the beginning of level nine (around 3:55pm Sunday 19th March).

Flight 1b – R.S.E.

The ‘stud’ games consisting of Razz, Stud & Stud Hi/Lo – 8 or better will be played on Sunday night from 7:30pm. Surviving players from this flight will bag chips for day 2 at the end of level 13 or when directed by the Tournament Director.

The buy-in for this flight is $300, this tournament has a T20,000 start stack with re-entries and late rego available until the beginning of level 9 (around 10:25pm).

Please note that you are able to play both flights and bag chips for both that will be accumulated for day 2 play.

Day 2 will be played on Monday 20th March from 12pm where all survivors from from flights (a) and (b) will return to the felt with all stacks, including those who bagged both flights, and play down to a winner.

Day 2 play will see both mixes combined to form the acronym of ‘T.H.E.R.O.S.” with a random draw for the first game and away we go!
