Our next event is again being held at Wantima Country Club, from Thursday April 3rd and will conclude on Monday April 7th.

We have scheduled all the crowd favourites and some new tournaments for you!

Thursday 3rd April from 11am

Event 1 – The Big Game $2,500 Buy-in

MGA’s own Poker Player’s Championship. A spread of 9 Games in rotation with a deep two day structure and late entry/re-entries accepted until the end of the first level on day 2. 

Event 2 – The Octagon $350 Buy-in

We have dropped the entry on this event to give those dipping their toes in the water a more economical ‘education cost’. Battle it out in this 8 Game rotation for glory, cash and a trophy!

Event 3 – No Limit 2-7 Single Draw Turbo $250 Buy-in

The first of our nightly turbo games where the pressure is on to make the best low hand with one draw only and accumulate all the chips with this turbo structure! We will crown a Champion before we leave each night!

Friday 4th April from 11am

We re-start Day 2 of “The Big Game” at 11am with late reg and re-entries accepted until 11:40am.

Event 4 – The Hitman (Bounty) $450 Buy-in

This is a Big Bet Dealer’s Choice style event with PLO, PLO8, Big O, Pot Limit 2-7 Triple, No Limit 2-7 Single Draw, 5 Card (Single) draw and NLH as the variants on offer. Each ‘hit/knockout’ will earn you $200. 

Event 5 – The Triple Triple $600 Buy-in

For the old school purists who cannot get enough of the draw varieties, this cannot be missed! You will play 2-7, Ace to 5 and Badugi in rotation until we crown the “Master”.

Event 6 – Pot Limit Triple Stud Turbo $250 Buy-in

Our nightly game turns to the three Stud variants being played with a Pot Limit betting structure. Think quick, hope to hold and make your best 5 card hand from your 7 … sounds easy! 

Saturday 5th April from 11am

Event 7 – The MGA Masters Main Event $1,500 Buy-in

This has everything! Deep stack, deep blinds, two day structure and your named etched into history on the MGA Main Event Perpetual Belt! With 10 variants in rotation including Draw, Flop & Stud games with Fixed Limit, Pot Limit & No Limit betting structures – let the cream rise to the top!

Main Event Milestone Satty $250 Buy-in

We have scheduled a Satellite to run alongside our Day 1 of the Main Event. Your mission is simple, accumulate 140,000 in tournament chips and you can join the Main Event immediately!  This is a unique structure becoming more popular in the Sattty arena where you no longer need to grind out until players have been eliminated. Simply build your stack to at least 140k for immediate seating in the Main Event.

Event 8 – The Villain Mix $600 Buy-in

You told me you are sick of the “HORSE” fixed limit grind in every event. So here it is, a HORSE/HEROS free zone for your enjoyment. This leaves you with a rotation of 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi, NLH, No Limit 2-7 Single Draw & PLO to battle it out!

Event 9 – Drawmaha Turbo $250 Buy-in

It’s time to have some fun. Unwind with a combo game of “5 Card Draw” (in your hand) and Omaha (on the board) with half pot awarded to the best holdings in each. On the flop you have the opportunity to discard/exchange up to 3 cards from your five card hand and then the game plays out with betting options on the turn and river before a showdown. This is a Pot Limit game so be ready for action! 

Sunday 6th April from 11am

The MGA Masters Main Event Day 2 will kick off at 11am with late reg and re-entries available until 11:40am.

Event 10 – The Blend Blood Mix $600 Buy-in

Nothing but blood! This mix of 7 games in rotation are all ‘one-way/no chops’.

Event 11 – The Switch $450 Buy-in

A full Dealer’s Choice mix with 25 game variants on offer! Find your opponents weaknesses, exploit them by choosing the games they are less comfortable with. Play your edge (hopefully you have one!) and take down one of the most coveted titles in the series.

Event 12 – PLO Lazy River Turbo $250 Buy-in

It’s PLO but with a little twist. Pre flop, flop and turn all play the same, and here’s the wrinkle! On the River, each live player will have their very own river card dealt face up to them. Only they can use that river card. You must still make your best Omaha hand using two cards from your hand and three from the board. Just remember that the board consists of a community flop & turn PLUS your personal river card!

Monday 7th April from 11am

Event 13 – The Penta-Mix $750 Buy-in

We have decided to end this series with an old school H.O.R.S.E. fixed limit grind. 

Everything you need & want in Poker, we have it. So if you are sick of the ‘two card coma’ boredom and want to get in the mix – you know where to go. The Wantima Golf Club in Brendale, QLD. About 700 metres up the road from Eaton’s Hill. Need a lift? We have a courtesy bus travelling between the venue and Eatons Hill Hotel on demand thanks to our generous and kind sponsor, Andrew’s Airport Parking, Busy Beaver Airport parking and Big Boy Car Rentals.
