đĽ Opening Day Line-Up
Event #1: THE BIG GAME (Day 1) @ 11am
MGA’s Big Game is Australia’s version of WSOP’s PPC (Poker Player Championship) but with a much lower buy-in!
With a 300k starting stack (75 big bets) you have absolute piles to navigate your way around the 9 variants of Poker being thrown at you! This game is for the high rollers looking to get some early runs on the board and a trophy under their arm by dinner time Friday night! We will play 10 levels on Day 1 before bagging and re-start Day 2 at 11am Friday 1st August.Â
Event #2: THE HITMAN (Bounty) @ 4:40pm
The very popular Dealer’s choice format bounty event where we give you the choice of all the big bet games (No Limit and Pot Limit only!). Score yourself some scalps and cash them in for $100 each, accumulate 4 and you are free-rolling!
With a chunky 30k start stack and a starting big blind of 200 you have time on your side to find some big hands, or, gamble it all – its your choice!
Event #3: BIG O (Late Night Turbo) @ 9pm
The first of our late night turbo’s is for the 5 card Omaha Hi/Lo specialists! You don’t have time to wait around in this format, it’s in the name! TURBO time! Get it in good or get it in behind, its not where you start, its where you finish!

Event #1: THE BIG GAME (Day 2) @ 11am
Survivors, late entrants and those looking to potentially fire another bullet return at 11am to fight this out. We will play down to a winner today!
Event #4: THE SWITCH @ 1:30pm
Arguably the most difficult tournament to manoeuvre where you will have a menu of 25 poker variants to choose from! Play to your strengths, play to the tables weaknesses, play to win! Game selections include Fixed Limit, No Limit & Pot Limit betting structures as well as all the Draw, Flop and Stud games you will need!

Keeping it deep with a start stack of 30k – you’ll have time to find your groove.
Event #5: THE VILLAIN MIX @ 4:40pm
Do you like having a break from the H.E.R.O.S. variants once in a while? Well we introduced “The Villain Mix” at our last series which was a smashing success. It’s the standard 10 game mix minus the 5 variants found within H.E.R.O.S. … this leaves you with a mix of other unforgiving games!Â
With a 30k start stack, what can go wrong?
Event #6: POT LIMIT BIG STUD (Late Night Turbo) @ 9pm
A new addition to MGA’s arsenal of games, Big Stud is played with a total of 8 cards per player (as opposed to 7) giving you more outs & more hope! You’ll be dealt 3 down cards and a face card in the initial deal. We will play this Pot Limit and we will play it fast!
With a 15k stack, there is no time for knitting jumpers!

đ The Main Event Kicks Off
WINTER WONDER-MIX MAIN EVENT (Day 1) @ 11am
The jewel of the crown, the MGA 10 Game Main Event Day 1 is here! With a 50k start stack and starting big bet of 400 it doesn’t get ant deeper than this (you have 500 big blinds in NLH speak!). Play 13 levels on day 1 and return Sunday when we will play down to our next champion!
SATELLITE: MILESTONE SATELLITE @ 12pm
Want to get in on the action at a lower price point? We have a Milestone Satty available at 12 noon, simply accumulate 7x start stack i.e. 140,000 chips and you will be seated immediately into the Main Event!
Event #8: SINGLE DRAW ROTATION @ 4:40pm
Old school single draw poker with 3 variants in rotation this tournament sorts the wheat from the chaff! Pro tip: Make sure you are playing the correct game before showdown! A smooth 8 in 2-7 won’t fare too well in 5 Card draw!
Giving you 30k start stack to splash around and find your feet.Â
Event #9: DRAWMAHA (Late Night Turbo) @ 9pm
This is a very popular game right now:
- Each player receives 5 cards
- After initial betting round (fixed limits), dealer reveals a Flop
- Betting Changs to Pot Limit from the flop
- Live players after betting action completes may discard up to 3 cards and have them replaced (single draw game)
- Turn card exposed after discards are replaced
- Betting action then followed by River Card and final betting actionÂ
- Showdown with half pot going to the best 5 card Omaha hand and the remaining half pot to the best 5 Card Draw hand
- You must use two of your cards from your hand to make the best Omaha hand (with 3 from the board)
- You must use all five of your cards in your hand to make you 5 Card draw hand
For this tournament, on the final table only, the Ante will be paid first.

We have put together a tournament blending all things 2-7 and we think you’ll enjoy it!
Event #11: TRIPLE TRIPLE DRAW @ 4:40pm
The Draw game wizards absolutely love this tournament. Bringing together 3 beautiful games into one unforgiving tournament structure!
Event #12: NO LIMIT 2-7 SINGLE DRAW (Late Night Turbo) @ 9pm
You are probably an expert at this game by now, so let’s focus on just this one variant in tonights turbo.

While we are going old school, it wouldn’t be complete without an 8 game somewhere o the schedule! So here it is, your Monday afternoon is sorted from 330pm

A special game on the calendar this time around. You do not get any POTS/COTW points for this one, just glory (and a trophy). This is a single table 8 max tourney, no re-entries, no late entry (all stacks in play from hand 1) where myself and 7 others will battle it out with a list of games I have chosen, a structure I have written. This is an admin free buy-in. Just view it as rake back, as long as you beat me!
